want to know
As I have been reading the Slauchter house of five, I knew it was about world war II war prisoners. in those people there were guy name Billy who we should called the time travaler who travel in time back and forth. almost all the book is about hime you can fine his name in almost every pargraph. but my question is there were aparagraph where the auther maintion that America in a nation of wealthy in the world, but people in America are poor. what did he mean?

poor in character maybe? i think he meant poor in a way other than money wise.
I think what was meant by people in America were poor was that people who were not fighting in the war or supporting the troops in some way.
