•Forget everything you think you know about literature & reading. Set aside likes and dislikes. Either way, you can get something out of it. •Read the material with an open mind & think about it. •Then. Let’s talk. Ask Questions. Have conversation. •Finally, respect the material and respect each other. Most groups & classes are made up of a variety of people & personalities – successful groups are those whose members respect each other and each other’s differences.

no hes not time traveling or turning into a god. i think he did this metaphorically and not literally.
I think he is just speaking as if he is the heron. The book said that he was losing himself and becoming a heron. He was just picturing his life as a heron without actually being one.
This refers to the previous statment that he slipped in and out of other things skin and took on what they were, the dead Jekyll or a heron.
i just think he thinkgs of himselve has a heron, he is medattaing and he isnt time traveling.
No I don't believe he is actually time traveling and literally becoming a heron or any of the other figure he claims he was. I think that he is mentally becoming them, puttin himself in their postions the best he can and imagine what it feels like, he is trying to "become one" with them, transfering his soul into theirs.
He has become enlightened in nature and sees himself as if he were a heron.
