Needed to know

in the book there is paragraph where its talked about Siddhartha soul flew in to the forest and become heron and eat fish and died. His he time traveling or his he turning to a God?

no hes not time traveling or turning into a god. i think he did this metaphorically and not literally.

I think he is just speaking as if he is the heron. The book said that he was losing himself and becoming a heron. He was just picturing his life as a heron without actually being one.

This refers to the previous statment that he slipped in and out of other things skin and took on what they were, the dead Jekyll or a heron.

i just think he thinkgs of himselve has a heron, he is medattaing and he isnt time traveling.

No I don't believe he is actually time traveling and literally becoming a heron or any of the other figure he claims he was. I think that he is mentally becoming them, puttin himself in their postions the best he can and imagine what it feels like, he is trying to "become one" with them, transfering his soul into theirs.

He has become enlightened in nature and sees himself as if he were a heron.
